Shalom! Benei Avraham is a Messianic Jewish congregation in Dallas County, Texas. We pray from a traditional siddur, keep Shabbat and the biblical & Jewish holy days, study Torah, and follow Yeshua (Jesus) as the Messiah of Israel, in person and online. In the words of Revelation 14:12, we are those who “keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Yeshua.”

Benei Avraham is a Messianic Jewish congregation in the Dallas area. A chavurah is a close-knit fellowship: we pray together, eat together, learn together and look after one another. We keep Shabbat and the festivals, study Torah, and follow Yeshua (Jesus) as Mashiach, the Messiah of Israel. Members join us in person in Dallas County and online from across the country.

Our rabbis and teachers
Benei Avraham is led by Rav Reuven and the Rebbetzin, known to all as Morah, who teach, lead and care for our community together. Both received smichah (ordination) from an Orthodox rabbi in Shevat 5783 (2023). Rav and Morah have in turn given smichah to Rav Atsalyahu and Rav Yehoshua, who serve alongside them.
Rav Reuven’s smichah recognizes him as a Torah scholar and as a spiritual leader, chazzan and moreh tzedek (teacher of righteousness), qualified to guide the community in the ways of the Torah. He also holds earlier smichah received elsewhere.
He leads our congregation and teaches Torah. He is ordained as a minister of the Orthodox Jewish faith, able to officiate weddings and serve as a chaplain. He also oversees our Telugu-speaking congregations in India and leads their Erev Shabbat service on Zoom.
Morah’s smichah recognizes her as a spiritual guide and leader, ordained to teach Torah, counsel and draw hearts closer to Hashem.
As our Morah (teacher), she teaches Hebrew, leads our youth group, and prepares our young people for their Bar and Bat Mitzvah. She also serves as a chaplain.
Rav Atsalyahu received smichah from Rav Reuven and Morah. He leads our prison ministry in Oklahoma, serving both Jewish and Messianic (non-Jewish) inmates.
Rav Yehoshua received smichah from Rav Reuven and Morah, in addition to earlier smichah he received elsewhere. He guides and teaches in our community, and he is fluent in Spanish.

Many Messianic congregations look like a church service moved to Saturday. Benei Avraham is a Torah-observant, Traditional Jewish Chavurah, inspired by Mashiach.
We pray from a traditional siddur, keep Shabbat and the biblical & Jewish holy days, and live by halachah, Jewish law. Shabbat is a day of rest, so nothing is bought or sold.
The Torah is our highest authority. We read the Bible in order: Torah first, then the Prophets and Writings, then the Brit Hadashah (New Testament) as witness to the Messiah, read in its original Jewish setting.
We worship Hashem alone and follow Yeshua as the Messiah of Israel, inside Israel’s faith, not apart from it. We reject replacement theology and stand with the Jewish people.
Orthodox and traditional rabbis guide our community. Our faith is built on Rambam’s Thirteen Principles, and we learn from the wisdom of the sages.
We help Jews who believe in Yeshua, including Benei Anusim, make a formal return, and we welcome sincere non-Jews who want to complete a halachic conversion.
Torah, Talmud, Midrash, Kabbalah, Jewish history and Biblical Hebrew, for beginners and advanced students alike, in person and online.

Every time my wife and I have visited Benei Avraham, we have been greeted with hospitality. The Rabbi and Rebettzin are very friendly and they love discussing Torah, Halacha, and Yehoshua with those willing to do so.
I have only participated online, but feel a part of the family even from Alabama. My Hebrew has improved and I've learned halacha in such a gentle way. Our family has been able to absorb it and walk in the new things we have learned. I hope to be able to meet them in person someday!

I found a community at BA. If you are seeking to understand what Echad in action; if you want to learn how to be a diligent student of the Word and to live your worship in a daily, moment by moment, experience, I would encourage you to find a community that embraces you as you are and still challenges you be more. It is a joy to learn, even when it's via video.
The people are very friendly and the Rabbi is awesome. This is a very good place to learn more about Judaism. If I lived in the area I would attend weekly.

This is a wonderful welcoming shul. They have welcomed me into their community and services though I am only able to attend via Skype and zoom. They teach classes in conversions, Hebrew and kashrut. I hope if you are looking for an orthodox messianic shul you would consider making this your community shul.
